The goal of solving a Rubik’s cube is to get all 6 sides to be the same color — this reflects unity, oneness, perfect order, beauty.
But we start off with all the colors mixed up — this reflects division, separation, disorder, ugliness.
I liken this to the human experience: we start off in chaos — LITERAL CHAOS. We come out screaming from some random lady’s vagina, and all our lives, we’re all just trying to return to that warm comfort of the womb. There exists this urge in all of us to strive toward divine oneness, toward that innate beauty that is all 6 sides of the cube being solved.
However, for me, I solve the cube, get this temporary hit of dopamine, and then crave the rush of mixing up all the colors and doing it all over again. The more I do it, the faster I get.
Maybe our souls are the same: we get bored with oneness and decide to embark on this human journey for more experience.
Oneness tastes sweeter once you know chaos.
